Antonio Cupo is an artist, whose artistic talents include not only the performing arts but also the "belle" arts. His talents are expressed in his acting, dancing, music and singing. His painting works were exhibited in Vancouver in a much visited exhibition during 2004 .

Antonio was born in Vancouver, Canada, on January 10, 1978 of Italian parents.
Manlio, his father, was born in Palomonte (Salerno) and his mother Lucia in Barletta (Bari). He has a sister, Carmelina - a talented singer and songwriter - and a brother, Sabatino, who helps his father with the family firm in Vancouver.

Since he was a youngster Antonio showed great interest in acting. His acting enthusiasm intensified when his sister Camelina introduced him to the theatre where he performed for many years. As a teenager he organized a rock group called “The Hybrid Cartel”, in which he wrote songs, played the lead guitar and sang.
Playing the guitar continues to be one of his passions.

Antonio studied English literature and the performing arts at the University of British Columbia.

After he graduated he followed his dream of becoming a film actor. He traveled to Los Angeles (Hollywood) where with much hard work and sacrifice he began his movie acting career. His first role as leading actor was under Fabio Segatori - an Italian director - in "Hollywood Flies".
But his career in Italy took-off when an Italian director, Cinzia TH Torrini, cast him in the leading role in the popular Italian TV series "Elisa di Rivombrosa - Part 2" The series proved successful in Italy and has been viewed in many other countries resulting in much international acclaim for Antonio. His continued success has transformed Antonio into a world traveler and performer.

In 2006, In Italy, he took part in "Ballando con le Stelle" - partnered by the professional dancer Giada Giacomoni - earning third place in the final, first in the team competition (supercoppa) and first among his male colleagues.

  This is an extraordinary love story between Jamie Derringer (Antonio Cupo) – a country music star - and Nora Flannery (Laura Leighton) – a classic music critic.
• “BARBAROSSA“ in which Antonio will act the part of a Consul of Milan. The director of this film is Renzo Martinelli, a much admired Italian director.
• SMILE
  (directed by Francesco Gasperoni) – a film in which Antonio acts is now being filmed in Morocco

Antonio has many enthusiastic fans in Italy as well as in other countries. In Italy his fans are known as “Cupine“.

This biography is not exactly a complete picture of the Artist and of the Man. Antonio has not been changed in the slightest by his success, he remains a humble and simple man. His talent and his character make him a special person.
